The Optoelectronics College

The Optoelectronics College (OEC) is a project to support the classroom teaching of optoelectronics in secondary school science to pupils in the 11-13 age range.

The current pilot for the OEC has brought together science teachers, teacher educators and university researchers to develop innovative teaching materials, apparatus and teacher continuing professional development. The main objectives for the pilot are summarised in the attached Word file.  The site contains both open and encrypted downloadable files and efforts are made to keep these up to date.  If you would like a password for the encrypted files, then please contact us
